With all of the quiet time at home during the past year, I’ve been able to really think about what kind of work I want to share with the world. And I realized that, while yoga and meditation will forever be passions of mine and will always be part of my purpose, I have more that I want to explore.
I’ve been a creative person for as long as I can remember. Making art and creating things brings me so much joy and allows me to feel like the most pure version of myself. For many reasons, both internal and external, I never thought I could actually be an artist, though. I never felt worthy of the title. I never felt good enough. In a weird way, I never felt interesting enough to be an artist. And maybe most of all, I thought that art was something I could love, but not something that I could pursue professionally. It wasn’t practical, I told myself, and besides, I’m not even talented enough.
This year, I’ve done a lot of soul searching, and I realized that one of my main missions in life is to leave every space I enter more beautiful than it was when I found it. Then an astrology session (with my astrologer and friend Courtney of Sojourn and Align - highly recommend!) confirmed what I already knew - creativity is my greatest gift and purpose in this life.
Since I bought myself an iPad in the Spring of last year, I’ve quite literally been creating nonstop. The Universe has provided sign after sign that I need to follow this curiosity and see where it leads. My life has naturally begun to shift toward stepping into myself as an artist and truly claiming my gifts, so I thought it was time that my business shifted, too.
Don’t worry - I love yoga and meditation too much to stop sharing those as well, so I will continue to find ways to share my interpretation of those life-changing practices with you (mainly through my podcast, Unearth Your Magic, but I have some other ideas, too!). However, Tranquil Fern as a brand is shifting more toward my art, with yoga and meditation acting as complementary offerings.
I will offer custom commissioned pieces and art prints (and hopefully someday some more fun stuff!). I’ve been working hard redesigning my website in an effort to reflect this new direction, and I am thrilled to announce that I’m finally ready to share it with you. AND my shop is LIVE with some of my favorite art prints! Feel free to check the new site out here, or go straight to my shop here.
I am so excited about this new journey, and so excited to continue to cultivate what has always lived at the root of Tranquil Fern: self-discovery and magic. I’m just adding on to the ways in which we can get there.
If you aren’t already, I would love for you to follow along with my creations on Instagram, @tranquilfern, and please share with all of your friends to spread the word.
I am so grateful for you and your support. You have no idea. Truly. So grateful.
I think that’s all for now!
